Meet Yifan Xu
Dr. Yifan (Joyce) Xu is a dedicated and compassionate GP with a strong focus on women’s health, weight loss medicine, and preventative care. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedicine and medical school at the University of Melbourne, followed by a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through Eastern Health, training at Box Hill and Angliss Hospitals.
Dr. Yifan has a broad range of clinical experience, having worked rurally in Wangaratta as a junior doctor and volunteered in a hospital in Zambia. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care and takes a holistic approach to optimising health outcomes. She has a particular interest in women's health and exploring evidence-based weight loss medicine to support her patients’ long-term well-being.
Originally from Shanghai, Dr. Yifan completed her primary schooling there and is fluent in Mandarin, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of patients. She is also actively involved in research, with multiple publications to her name.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Yifan enjoys traveling and playing tennis in her free time.
